The American flag lapel pin and the $12,500.00 solution)

Being neither a democrat, republican or independent (my category probably falls under "shocked and appalled" or "speechless") I tend to stay true to my party... "Basic man"...

Rarely do I comment in public (or polite company) on politics but one thing that has troubled me immensely is this .39 cent American flag pin that seems to be ever present.

... This morning, I hear that Sen Obama has decided to shed this tin pin... Finally someone who will stand up and say "I'm tired of this rusty hole in my lapel" (that's not a "direct" quote from Sen Obama, just my "take" on his thinking)

Now the question begs... "what to replace it with"? and quite naturally, I have a suggestion.

The Ahern & Brucker limited edition Basic Man's Patriot ring...

Designed for world leaders, available to the Basic man exclusively from the mom and pop shop that designed it.

Our tribute to Firefighters

After our first 30 days of blogging, we have our first product ready for market and the affiliate who will get this in the right hands...

The Ahern & Brucker

limited edition

3 tone 18k & Platinum Firefighter ring.

This is an outstanding example of how nice "can" we make a firefighter ring?

I hope we hit the mark and set the new standard... I haven't seen a nicer one and until I do, I'm going to go out on a limb and say we nailed it. afterall, this is "our" specialty.

their are 13 different pieces that go into making this ring.

at $7,500 it's not designed to be economical and affordable... it's designed to be the nicest.

Their are still a lot of bit's and pieces that need to be put together with the marketing end and advertising hasn't even been started in any serious way but... overall, we have "project #1" in the hands of the blogging community for an initial test!

So, we made a call to Captain Mike at Firefighter Blog and showed him the ring and presented our offer and he has agreed to advertise our ring on his blog site and, put out an all points bulletin looking for worthy charities that can accept a donation of 10% of the proceeds of these incredible limited edition rings

Each made in 3 tones of 18k & Platinum with only 100 rings being made this year.

Our goal is to raise $75,000 this year for a worthy cause (or causes) that relate to the firefighting profession. Now, I know, in the grand scheme of things, $75,000 isn't much but it's just a start for what we have planned for the future.

By next year we hope to add 12 new designs to the firefighting category of high end jewelry and raise $750,000.

Anyone interested in furthering this project or becoming an affiliate should contact bob@ahernbrucker.com

overview & introduction

Hello & welcome to "Plan b"

I will try to make this introduction as brief as possible giving everyone's time constraints.

We are a little mom & pop shop situatuated in the middle of oregon, surrounded by mountains and clear clean rivers and air. We design and manufacture fine custom & limited edition jewelry...

We are in the stage of our business where it is time to take a few of our designs and introduce them to the world.

As fate would have it, we are very good at making fine jewelry and happy customers but when it comes to marketing we lack... well, pretty much everything.

what our customers say...http://www.ahernbrucker.com/upload/customerletters.htm

So, this blog is going to be partly an attempt at promoting the products & product lines we are looking to "take to the people" as well as an attempt to identify the marketing expertise we are sorely missing. (and recruit them)

We see ourselfs as the next "blue nile story" only we are not looking to get "purchased for pennies" but rather have a hand in writing the final chapters in our version of the "horatio alger" story..

Thank you for your time and please feel free to ask any questions or submit suggestions.
